The Ukrainian-Canadian Film Community (UCFC)
Founded by Anna Palenchuk in 2023, includes both experienced Ukrainian filmmakers and newcomers who relocated to Canada following the 2022 Russian full-scale invasion.
Its main objective is to integrate Ukrainian filmmakers into the Canadian film industry.
November 2023
the First Canadian Pitch Program
Launch of the First Canadian Pitch Program at the Montreal International Documentary Film Festival’s Forum (RIDM Forum), in collaboration with The Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC). Six Ukrainian filmmakers with pitch-ready documentary projects participated in one-on-one pitch meetings during the RIDM Forum’s annual Face-to-Face pitch sessions.
